CCA Register of Merit (ROM)
The REGISTER OF MERIT (ROM) program, established by the Collie Club of America, aims to enhance record-keeping and honor the lifetime achievements of Collie sires and dams that have produced a designated number of American Champion offspring. By awarding the ROM title, the club creates a lasting historical record and a valuable tool for pedigree research. Eligibility requires producing 20 champion offspring for sires and seven for dams, with equal treatment for Smooth and Rough varieties. Data is derived from AKC publications, and the ROM status is recognized in pedigrees with the acronym “ROM,” though not officially by the AKC. Updated statistics are published annually, and owners must provide verified information through a dedicated application process.
